Name: Andy Wilson
Job Title: Business Development Manager
Team/Department: Sales
Time at T. Quality: 10 years
1. Can you tell us a bit about yourself and what your role at T.Quality involves?
So I'm 61 years old and one of the seniors in the sales team, my role is business development manager for QSR (quick service restaurants) servicing a wide variety of different types of accounts from pubs and restaurants to chicken, kebab and pizza restaurants and everything in between.
I'm an unofficial chicken market expert and love the category and its diverse range of products and that’s where my real passion is.
2. How long have you been with T.Quality, and what first attracted you to working here?
I have been at T.Quality for over 10 years now, although it's been in two parts, with owning my own Fish & Chip shop in between.
I was sold on a friend who worked there telling me how good the team ethos is even after I left to run my own business, I didn’t need a second thought to come back.
3. What does a typical day look like for you at T.Quality?
Calling on new or potential new business to TQ is my normal day mixed in with visits to discuss menu development or product testing, which are also really common now, the markets are always changing, and there is always something new to present to customers.
4. What’s one thing you really enjoy about working at T.Quality or being part of the team?
Well, every day is different, and honestly it's never quiet, working with so many different departments is great and makes the job easier.
Outside of work, what do you enjoy doing in your spare time?
My passion outside of work is most definitely my aviation photography; if the weather is good, then I'm usually near an airfield. Dad being in the RAF in his younger years helped spark the interest.

What’s your favourite aircraft or moment you’ve captured through your photography so far?
Wow, so many amazing moments, like capturing low-level Tornados blasting through the Welsh hills at 500 knts to spending a day with the Red Arrows, travelling across Europe to airshows.
The Tornado holds a place in my heart even though it’s been retired from the RAF.
So much so that I collect parts off the famous retired aircraft for my mancave.
Looking ahead, what do you think the future of food looks like, and how do you see the industry changing?
Well, in my QSR sector the growth of Southern fried chicken in all its various forms can’t be ignored, people's first choice of eat out/takeaway meal is definitely shifting, and without question, it's shaping how we eat.
Is there a food trend or development you’re particularly excited about right now?
Well, the latest trend for 2026 seems to be spice bags, a dish that originated over in Southern Ireland years ago that's just now hitting the UK (fries, topped with crispy chicken and Chinese salt & chili seasoning with chopped spring onions, peppers, and a variety of other finely chopped veg of your choosing in a foil bag topped off with a good drizzle of Irish curry sauce or something smooth and spicy).
Finally, what’s one fun fact about you that people at T.Quality might not know?
I started a junior football club in 2000 that's still going to this day, providing grass roots sport for the youngsters in my local area.
