Name: Amy Johnson
Job Title: Operations Administrator
Team/Department: Operations
Time at T. Quality: 3 ½ Years

1. What’s your role at TQ, and what do you actually do day to day?
I am the operations Administrator at the Bridlington depot. My day to day duties are  dealing with all admin such as booking in deliveries & also to help with all enquiries from customer’s both in person at the depot or on the phone. I also deal with the cashing up side of the job both from the driver’s returning from their runs and customer’s buying from the depot. I also keep on top of the cleaning and tidiness of the staff and customer areas both inside and out. I do also help out when needed in the warehouse picking orders and replenishing stock.

2. What do you enjoy most about working here?

I must say that one of the most enjoyable aspects of this job is helping people. When i can do all i can to help solve a problem, it gives me a feel of achievement and that is a good feeling to have & having the knowledge i do from being in the industry for over 17 years in various roles is a definite bonus.

3. What’s one project or achievement you're really proud of?

I would say my biggest achievement would be FINALLY passing my driving test (1st time!). I was abit late in the game when it came to it but it has opened up so many opportunities for me since passing. By actually passing my test, I was able to come for my interview and got the job, without it I wouldn’t be sat here writing this!

4. What’s something surprising about your career journey?

I have worked in fish and chip shops since i was 17! I have had a few different jobs inbetween but always ended up back in the industry. So, to land a role still in the fish and chip game but with better sociable hours was a definite bonus as I had all my previous knowledge and skills tom take on the role and fulfil to the best of my ability.

5. What advice would you give to someone just starting in your role or team?

Just be confident, there are plenty of people with years of knowledge here at T Quality who will help you out in anyway they can.

6. What do you like to do when you’re not working?

When I'm not at work, I like to spend time out and about with my partner, go off exploring new places & making amazing memories. I also like to socialise with my friends with a drink or two! I have just got back in the saddle and taken up horse riding (AGAIN) which I haven't done since I was 13, so that keeps me busy. I am a big Disney fan aswell & I have just returned from a 2 week holiday in Disney world Florida and it was AMAZING! Also, I do enjoy watching my fav NFL team (go buccaneers!) hopefully we will get to the superbowl one year!!!

7. Any fun facts?

The actors who voiced Mickey and Minnie Mouse were married in real life!
