Looking Back on 2025 and Moving Forward Together into 2026

Looking Back on 2025 and Moving Forward Together into 2026

As we close out 2025, the foodservice industry continues to face significant change. Rising costs, shifting consumer behaviour, and ongoing market pressures are impacting businesses across the sector.

In this end-of-year statement, Mike Crees, Managing Director of T.Quality Foodservice, reflects on the year just gone and shares his outlook for 2026 — including how T.Quality will continue to support customers through change and help them plan for the year ahead.

As we come to the end of another year, it is important to recognise the challenges we have all faced throughout 2025. Political uncertainty, rising un-employment and commodity costs, evolving customer expectations, and ongoing quota pressures have created a demanding environment for our industry.

Despite these headwinds, one thing has remained constant, the resilience, innovation, and commitment shown across our industry and within our own T.Quality teams, customers, and partners. Thank you for your continued trust and support.

As we move into 2026, we do so with a clear focus: supporting you through change and helping you drive footfall, efficiency, and profitability. With further cost increases expected next year, margins will remain under pressure. The rising price of cod continues to challenge us all, making it more important than ever to explore alternative species that offer great quality and value.

Consumer behaviour is shifting, and we must shift with it, adapting menus, introducing strategic price points, and responding to key dayparts such as lunchtime or family meal occasions. Those who think differently, embrace change, and stay agile will continue to succeed.

At T.Quality, we remain fully committed to helping you navigate these changes delivering the products, services, and solutions that make a real difference to your business.

On behalf of everyone at T.Quality Foodservice, thank you for partnering with us throughout 2025. We wish you a successful year ahead and look forward to supporting your continued growth in 2026.

Mike Crees
