First up, let’s meet…
Name:Cianan MacNeice
Job Title: Marketing Apprentice
Welcome to T.Quality, Cianan! Can you tell us a bit about yourself and what brought you into marketing?
Hi there! I’m currently on my placement year, having just finished my second year at Bournemouth University studying Business Management with Marketing. I’ve had an interest in marketing for many years now and find it fascinating how platforms like social media can be used to engage with customers and build a well-recognised brand.
What excites you most about joining a foodservice business like T.Quality?
I’m excited to bring a fresh set of eyes and ideas to the business, using knowledge from my studies in a real-world situation to benefit the business. It will be great to get some hands-on experience within the marketing department.
What will your role involve day-to-day as a Marketing Apprentice?
I will be helping to run the social media accounts aiming to increase engagement, as well as creating digital content for the business. I will also be helping with future promotions and campaigns.
Have you had much exposure to the fish & chip or takeaway sector before joining T.Quality?
I haven’t had direct experience in the fish & chip or takeaway sector before joining T.Quality, but it’s something I’ve grown up around and been a regular customer of, like most people. Seeing the industry from a different perspective and understanding how much goes on behind the scenes to support businesses with everything they need has been very interesting.
What areas of marketing are you most interested in developing – digital, design, events, social media?
I’m particularly interested in developing my skills in social media marketing and ad design. Social media is a very powerful tool for connecting with audiences. I’m also excited to create valuable content for the promotions and attend some of the customer events.

What’s your favourite thing to order from a fish & chip shop or local takeaway?
When I’m in a fish and chip shop the obvious option must be fish and chips, the chips have got to be perfect! If not my go to is a pizza, can’t go wrong with a pepperoni.
Any fun facts or hobbies you'd like to share with our customers and team?
Love football, big Chelsea fan so sorry if offend anyone (World Champions btw). I also play a bit of golf and cricket but I’m no professional at either of them.
What do you hope to learn or achieve during your apprenticeship here at T.Quality?
I hope to gain real world experience from the workplace, from executing marketing campaigns and I’m keen to use this time to improve all my skills across the board. I’d like to feel accomplished following the completion of the placement, knowing that I’ve added value to the business.
We hope you enjoyed this introduction, stay tuned for more TQ&Me interviews weekly.
