Iceland's responsible cod fisheries now certified
T. Quality are pleased to announce the use of the Iceland Responsible Fisheries logo indicating any Icelandic origin of fish caught in Icelandic waters are responsibly fished under managed stocks. The logo provides a wealth of opportunities for T. Quality in the value chain of Icelandic seafood to highlight responsible Icelandic origin.
Interestingly seafood products accounted for 42% of Iceland's total export value in 2009, Cod is the most valuable fish caught in Icelandic waters representing 36% of total seafood export value.
